Seminars

Please use our competency and visit one of our application and expert seminars. We offer an extensive training, which answers all your theoretical and practical questions in the operation of agitator bead mills.

Inhouse seminars

We also offer an inhouse application or service seminar accoding to your particular specification. If you are
interested, please do not hesitate to contact us.

- Application Seminar

- Operation and Process Control
of Agitator Bead Mills -

With the main focus on the transition from laboratory scale to the production.

Seminar dates

11. - 12.03.2009

23. - 24.09.2009

Contents

Application seminar with the goal to impart the theoretical background and the function of agitator bead mills.
The influence of important operating parameters on the grinding process is discussed and different procedures are shown.
The explained influences are demonstrated by means of practical tests on the laboratory mill LABSTAR as well as on a production machine. Afterwards it is spoken about the topics characterization of particles sizes and stabilization of suspensions (dispersing of finest particles down to the nanometer range).

Target group

User of agitator bead mills in the fields:
- Production
- Process technology
- Laboratory
- Development

- Optimization of Agitator Bead
Mills in Operation -

Seminar date

Contents

An educational seminar to teach participants how to mechanically and procedurally optimize agitator bead mills.
Mills are often run inefficiently because there is no sufficient control of the operating conditions. Thus the potential of the investigation is mostly insufficiently utilized.

This seminar will show how to lower operating costs and failure probability and how the capacity of grinding systems can be increased by process optimization.

Target group

Persons in charge of plant production, process technology and service.

- Production and Processing of Nanoparticles by Top-Down-Processes -

Seminar dates

28. - 29.04.2009

Contents

During this seminar we want to enhance our knowledge in particle size analysis, stabilization and development of new formulations as well as dispersing of finest particles down to the nanometer range.
This seminar is presented in cooperation with speakers from different companies from the fields chemical additives, particles size analysis, rheology and thermal analysis. During this course we will also discuss your personal questions about grinding and dispersing down to the nanometer range in detail.

Operational Modes of Agitator Bead Mills

The NETZSCH-Feinmahltechnik took the advantage of the massive international crowd gathering at the 27th ACHEMA exhibition to present the book „Operational Modes of Agitator Bead Mills" written by Carsten Warnke, Georg Scherer and Udo Enderle.

Agitator bead mills are operated with different operation modes. Which operation mode to use, such as passage, circulation or pendulum operation, is determined by the experiences, preferences and possibilities of the mechanics operating the machine. Initial attempts to obtain an overall view of the operation modes of agitator bead mills and to substantiate them with calculations were very sporadic.

In this book, Mr. Warnke succeeded in imparting basic knowledge to calculate the residence time distributions for the different grinding processes or for their combinations. With this data, it is possible for any technician to check the test results and mathematical conclusions. On this basis you can compare the operation modes. You can determine the effectiveness of every application and select the most appropriate operation mode with regard to the local condition.

A complete description about the practice and machine technology of agitator bead mills written by the co-authors Georg Scherer and Udo Enderle is also part of the book. Both the practical as well as the theoretical details are closely connected with the theoretical foundation. The requirements of multi-pass and circulation operation are effectively transformed in the development and construction of new machines.

The book „ Operational Modes of Agitator Bead Mills" can be ordered for € 33.00 (transport costs incl.) from NETZSCH-Feinmahltechnik in Selb.
