The New Generation of Mini- and MicroSeries by NETZSCH
NETZSCH laboratory mills of the Mini- and MicroSeries have been successfully established for wet grinding tasks in research and development for many years. With very small batches finenesses down to the nanometer range are achieved and these grinding results are reproducible.
The new generation of the Mini- and MicroSeries agitator bead mills introduces some changes and enhancements that make this machine even more user-friendly. The new design is more modern and compact: The swivelingle grinding chamber, the double-acting mechanical seal and the operating panel are integrated into the machine frame. The hose pump is on a sliding platform and can be moved into the equipment frame when out of use.
Moreover the monitoring and control of the process sequence has been enhanced. The new line offers a more powerful motor as well as pressure and temperature transmitters. Users can control cycle time, energy input and various grinding parameters from a color touch screen. For evaluation and documentation of the tests the recorded data can be exported.
The complete line of Mini- and MicroSeries comprises three mills, each with grinding chamber parts fabricated with different materials. The grinding chamber parts of the Mini-/MicroFer are designed in stainless steel, whereas for metal-free fine grinding the Mini-/MicroCer® (in zirconium oxide or SiC/Si3N4 design) is available for solvent-based products and the Mini-/MicroPur (in polyurethane design) is available for water-based products. All machines are equipped with NETZSCH proprietary Zeta® grinding system, whose well-proven centrifugal separating system enables the use of very small grinding media with a size from 0.05 to 0.8 mm.
Typical batch sizes for continuous processing of products with machines of the MiniSeries are between 0.25 to 0.5 l, whereas with machines of the MicroSeries even smaller quantities ranging from 0.14 to 0.5 l can be processed.
The extraordinary flexibility of NETZSCH laboratory mills is reflected by their convertability. Both machine series can be changed over to the other system with the appropriate adapter and assembly set.
