Heat-set

Heat-set printing inks are used in web-fed offset printing. They dry through evaporation of their mineral oil content in drying furnaces. This is accomplished with hot air at temperatures from 120 to 150°C. This method is used to print magazines, catalogs, newspaper inserts, etc.

Heat-set Ink Plant by NETZSCH at S&S Druckfarben in Erfurt, Germany

Having completed an impressive 30,000 Tonnes Gravure Ink Plant in the UK in 2006, the engineering team at NETZSCH had an enviable track record. So when S & S Druckfarben needed a new manufacturing plant – one that would use cutting edge technology and state-of-the-art process controls to deliver a huge 35,000 Tonnes per annum - they too enlisted our services.

The next Generation of Agitator Bead Mills

NETZSCH-Feinmahltechnik GmbH has now developed the new Alpha® modular machine platform. Compared to earlier-generation machines, this series is designed such that different grinding systems can be mounted on the same base platform as appropriate for a defined drive capacity.

Laboratory agitator bead mill LabStar

The multi-functional laboratory mill LabStar enables scientific academic work even at difficult research and development tasks and convinces by easy handling. The laboratory mill LabStar is the smallest grinding unit of NETZSCH-Feinmahltechnik GmbH that enables an exact scale-up to comparable production machines.

Laboratory agitator bead mill MiniZeta

The universally applicable laboratory circulation mill MiniZeta is essential for research and development. Its easy operation, equipped with easy to clean tools of stainless steel, achieves the machine excellent results down to the Sub-Micron range.

Laboratory batch mills PE 075 / PR 01 and PE 5 / PR 1 S

The periodically working agitator bead mills PE 075 / PR 01 and PE 5 / PR 1 S are the most improved and simpliest grinding units of NETZSCH-Feinmahltechnik GmbH. These laboratory machines work with both – the well-known MoliNex- and attritor system.

Mixing and De-Aerating

Products & Solutions in the field of Mixing and De-Aerating
Ψ-Mix® Inline Disperser

The Ψ-Mix® inline disperser is a revolutionary system for mixing and dispersing solids in liquids. Homogeneous, fine dispersions with exactly reproducible quality are achieved through a controlled, emission-free process.

PMD / PMD-VC Intensive Mixers

For processing large batches of moderate- to high-viscosity product, the PMD and PMD-VC intensive mixers are the machines of choice. The stationary mixing and dispersing units are successfully utilized primarily in the paint, printing ink and pigment industries.

MasterMix® Dissolver

The NETZSCH MasterMix® dissolvers are fast, high-powered dispersing units for simple mixing tasks. They can easily process products with viscosities up to 100 Pa·s from a broad range of applications.

VMS - Vertical MaxShear Rotor/Stator Mixer

Featuring a precision high-speed rotor, which creates a vigorous pumping action as it draws liquid into the stator inlet. Liquid is discharged at high velocity through machined slots in the stator.

NETZSCH DA / DA-VS Vacuum De-Aerator

The NETZSCH Vacuum De-Aerator offers a simple way to remove even micronized gas and air pockets from liquids of various viscosities or from viscous compounds and pastes.

Micro Ψ-Mix® Laboratory Inline Disperser

With the laboratory-scale version of the successful Ψ-Mix® Inline Disperser you can rely on innovative dispersion technology with emission-free inline operation for optimal wetting of powders in liquids.

ShearMaster Laboratory Dissolver

The ShearMaster laboratory dissolver is designed for batch sizes of 1 to 10 l and is equipped with a 1.1 kW variable speed drive.

Laboratory De-Aerator MiniVac

The MiniVac laboratory-scale De-Aerator was specially developed for small batches or initial tests and – like the production-scale NETZSCH vacuum de-aerator – operates according to the VTR principle (vacuum - thin film - rotary process). With extreme ease of operation you can remove micronized pockets of gas and air from free-flowing products of various viscosities as well as from viscous pastes and compounds.
