Wet Grinding

NETZSCH-Feinmahltechnik GmbH is one of the market leader in wet grinding technology. The bundling of process-related know-how and the extensive machine program from laboratory to production machines to complete production lines is our strength.

Agitator bead mills are grinding machines for ultra-fine processing of solids in liquids. Their area of application covers the particle size range from 200 μm (max. 500 μm) down to the submicron (nanometer) range. With a comminution factor down to 1 : 10 000 (200 μm -> 20 nm), the application range is extensive and the variety of tasks extremely diverse. The wetting and homogenization of solids in liquids, deagglomeration and dispersion, all the way to true comminution of primary particles make the agitator bead mill a universal wet processing machine. Depending on the product properties, various types of agitator bead mills with different grinding systems are employed.

Grinding System Neos

The agitator cooling with the newly-developed Neos grinding system stands for maximum performance, product quality and efficiency. Coupled with the reliable use of extremely small grinding media, you can achieve your required product quality with high production output and low specific energy consumption.

Grinding System Zeta® - formely LMZ

The Zeta® grinding system is, in every respect, a user friendly, low-maintenance and very reliable grinding system.

Grinding System Discus - formerly LME

The grinding system Discus is the quantum leap in disk grinding technology. The further optimized Discus disk agitator combined with the NETZSCH ~DCC® separation system guarantees you extremely high throughput rates with significantly narrower dwell time distributions and therefore more intensive grinding with uniform impact intensity.

Grinding System Macro

The Macro grinding system represents the logical advancement of the John System annular chamber mill with the centrifugal force separation device.

The next Generation of Agitator Bead Mills

NETZSCH-Feinmahltechnik GmbH has now developed the new Alpha® modular machine platform. Compared to earlier-generation machines, this series is designed such that different grinding systems can be mounted on the same base platform as appropriate for a defined drive capacity.

DeltaVita®

The comminution or desagglomeration of active pharmaceutical ingredients (API) is called micronization and brings about several advantages. The increase of the particle surface caused by the comminution results in a considerably better dissolution rate and bioavailability of the agents and therefore the APIs act faster.

Nano mill Zeta® RS

Specially designed for grinding and dispersing to the nanometer range. This new development combines easy handling and revolutionary machine technology with ergonomic design.

NETZSCH Omega®

Successful dispersion requires targeted force in order to separate agglomerated particles. The Omega® Economic Disperser applies dispersive forces then and there, where they are especially effective: in the Omega® disperser body, energy is transformed into very high speeds under pressure.

IsaMill

The largest continuous working disk agitator bead mills in the world are used for ore preparation.

NETZSCH Control Systems for Agitator Bead Mills

Whether the basic version, integration into higher-level process control systems or data acquisition hardware and software: a wide range of control options are available for the NETZSCH agitator bead mills – talk with our experts.

NETZSCH Data Acquisition Systems

Laboratory Machines

Laboratory agitator bead mill MiniZeta

The universally applicable laboratory circulation mill MiniZeta is essential for research and development. Its easy operation, equipped with easy to clean tools of stainless steel, achieves the machine excellent results down to the Sub-Micron range.

MiniSeries / MicroSeries - Laboratory Mills for Product Development of Smallest Batches

The compact, universally applicable laboratory circulation mills of the MiniSeries impress with their easy handling when processing very small quantities from 0.25 to 0.5 l up to particle sizes in the nanometer range. It is possible to conduct many tests with low loss of product and significant results within a short period of time.

Finest wet grinding technology – the laboratory mills of the MicroSeries are an investment in the future for new product developments of different fields of application of pigmented ink jets, technical ceramics, cosmetics, pharmaceutical applications and nano-scale high-tech products.

Laboratory agitator bead mill LabStar

The multi-functional laboratory mill LabStar enables scientific academic work even at difficult research and development tasks and convinces by easy handling. The laboratory mill LabStar is the smallest grinding unit of NETZSCH-Feinmahltechnik GmbH that enables an exact scale-up to comparable production machines.

NETZSCH Omega® 60

Successful dispersion requires targeted force in order to separate agglomerated particles. The Omega® Economic Disperser applies dispersive forces then and there, where they are especially effective: in the Omega® disperser body, energy is transformed into very high speeds under pressure.

NETZSCH DeltaVita® 15-300
