El sistema NETZSCH Discus es el salto cualitativo en la tecnología de molienda por discos. Su eje agitador con discos, ahora todavía más optimizado, en combinación con el sistema de separación NETZSCH DCC®, garantiza caudales elevados, distribuciones de tiempo significativamente más cortas y una molienda más intensa y uniforme.

La potencia de entrada al molino aumenta de forma considerable y simultáneamente también aumenta la eficiencia energética. El sistema Discus activa y optimiza el movimiento de las microesferas de molienda entre los discos, lo que conduce a una mayor potencia de entrada y a una eficiencia de molienda con bajo consumo de energía específica. Se consigue una reducción significativa en los costes de producción, ya que el consumo de energía específica disminuye a la par que aumenta la productividad.

Diseño y Principio

  • Es un molino agitador, continuo, horizontal, con discos y por microesferas.
  • El sistema de molienda Discus activa y optimiza el movimiento de las microesferas entre los discos, aportando mucha potencia para así moler eficientemente, pero con un consumo bajo de energía específica.
  • El producto fluye axialmente desde la entrada a través de la cámara de molienda. El impacto, la presión y el cizallamiento de las microesferas lo molturan o dispersan finamente.
  • Un sistema de separación centrífuga y altamente eficaz, permite que el producto fluya hacia afuera, mientras que las microesferas quedan retenidas en el molino.

The Separation System is the Key

The highly efficient, dynamic centrifugal separation system facilitates the use of grinding beads of various densities, matched to the application. In addition, it allows the use of  grinding beads up to 0.4 mm in diameter. The separation system ensures that the mill can be operated far below the critical point of grinding bead compression, even for products with challenging rheological properties.This means that operational performance is extremely stable, shutdown due to overpressure and exceeding the permitted temperature limits is avoided and grinding media wear is minimized. The classifying rotor increases the service life of the separation screen and thus minimizes maintenance work and downtimes.

How it works

  • Product enters the preclassifi-cation area through the axial gaps in the last grinding disk
  • Entrained grinding beads are centrifuged outward in this area, while the product enters the separation chamber axially through the openings in the pre-classifier disk
  • Formation of a circulation flow through the rotor, which counteracts the axial flow of the material being processed

Optimum Grinding Bead Activation

TetraNex® – The grinding system for optimum energy input

The NETZSCH Discus agitator bead mills are equipped with the TetraNex® grinding system. The TetraNex® grinding disk, which replaces the familiar TriNex® grinding disk, is available in the standard design and in the TetraNex® Plus version. While the front side of the standard version is smooth, just like the TriNex® version, the TetraNex® Plus disk has special activation elements. These activate the grinding beads reciprocally in the axial direction, which leads to increased contact between the grinding beads and thus to more effective grinding processes
