NETZSCH Grinding & Dispersing successfully exhibits at Powtech 2014

Thanks to the creative innovations presented by the companies NETZSCH-Feinmahltechnik, NETZSCH Trockenmahltechnik and NETZSCH Lohnmahltechnik at the NETZSCH Grinding & Dispersing Business Unit's stand, there was plenty to talk about during the entire Powtech 2014.

What really caught the interest of exhibition visitors and had already caused a stir in advance was the SecoMy® S fine-cutting mill, an in-house development of NETZSCH Trockenmahltechnik which was exhibited for the first time. In contrast to systems available on the market up to now, this mill provides an elegant solution to the familiar problem of classifying particle sizes smaller than 150 µm. This is made possible by forgoing the standard, fine screen in favor of a rotating classifier wheel with a geometry optimized for the task of "separating fibrous products."

However, it was not this spectacular innovation alone that attracted visitors to the stand in Nuremberg, or more precisely to NETZSCH-Feinmahltechnik, but practical advancements as well. Operators of LME horizontal agitator bead mills had the opportunity to learn about the newest grinding system, the TetraNex®. With the aid of this newly-developed grinding disk, the power output of the LME can be increased by 30% or more. In some cases, the increase in the power output is restricted only by the temperature limits of the material being processed. However, these constraints can be eliminated with the likewise newly-developed Cool Plus Package. The optional equipment package includes a grinding tank with ceramic inner pipe made of NETZSCH -Ceram C, which has a thermal conductivity several times greater than steel, and an optimized cooling water supply.

NETZSCH also brought the right solution in the area of toll manufacturing with it to the Powtech. With the acquisition of Noll Powder Processing and the establishment of NETZSCH Lohnmahltechnik GmbH, the Toll Grinding Division of the NETZSCH Group has taken a new strategic direction. At the facilities in Bobingen and Hanau, the customer can draw on a state-of-the-art, diversified array of machines for mechanical processing of a wide range of materials. As a service provider in the area of toll grinding, NETZSCH offers its customers a comprehensive carefree package, from processing the product to the analysis and documentation all the way through to packaging and labeling and even warehouse logistics.
